Development plans in Collaborator

In LMS Collaborator, it is possible to create Personal Development Plans (or simply Development Plans) designed for a specific user over a defined period of time, as well as Global Development Plans, which can be intended for a particular department or the entire company. Global Plans also have their own planned completion period — for example, the current year.

A Global Development Plan is a general company-wide development plan designed for a specific period of time — for example, one year. It can be assigned to all company employees, a specific department, or other groups. Each user may have different tasks within the global development plan; however, its parameters are the same for all participants.
There can be multiple Global Development Plans. For more details Global development plans.

Personal Development Plans are created by the employee themselves, their manager, or the portal Administrator. These plans are designed for a specific user and cover a defined period of time. Each user can have multiple development plans.
Similar to Global Development Plans, they can include completing a learning course, program, or other resources on the Collaborator platform, as well as any other task in the form of a written description indicating who will evaluate it.
Each item in the plan can have a deadline and a type — for example, External Training, Workshop, or any other category.

Cost of training in development plans

ДTo organize the workflow effectively, it may be necessary to track the training costs of employees, including additional seminars, workshops, conferences, and similar activities. In LMS Collaborator, it is possible to add a "Cost of training" attribute to users’ Development Plans, as well as when creating career development requests.

When creating or assigning a Development Plan, you can specify a Budget of development plan. This value indicates how much funding has been allocated in the company’s budget for additional activities and training within this specific Development Plan for an individual user.

The Development Plan Budget can be specified in both Global and Personal Development Plans. If needed, it can later be modified on the User Development Plan editing page (more details Editing a Global Development Plan and Editing an Individual Development Plan).
Editing the Global Development Plan, Personal development plans).

You can also specify the training cost for each personal task. This amount may include the cost of a training session, seminar, additional learning materials, or any other related expenses.

If needed, the Cost of training can be modified on the personal task editing page. The cost can be changed by the Administrator, as well as by the user, if they created the task themselves.

On the User Development Plan view page, the Total cost of training is displayed below the plan title. This value represents the sum of the training costs for all personal tasks assigned to the user within this Development Plan. Next to it, in parentheses, the Budget set for this Development Plan is shown.
