When creating resources of the File type, it is possible to convert PDF and PPT files to a Presentation type resource, and DOC and DOCX files to a Page type resource.

When creating and uploading resources with PDF, PPT, and DOC, DOCX files, a corresponding message appears and you need to click the Convert button to change the file. If you want to leave the file in the format that is being uploaded, then ignore the notification.

Please note that conversion is only available at the resource creation stage. Once saved, it will not be possible to convert the resource to a different type.

For converted assets, you can allow users to download the original files by enabling the Allow downloading option when creating or editing the asset.

All users will not only be able to browse, but also download the resource by clicking on Upload file.

The resource will be available for download from courses and programs, assignments and the Knowledge Base.
