Security log
The Security log displays all user and administrator actions related to data changes in the system.
You can open the Security log via the menu Users - Results - Security log.
Records are added in the following cases:
- Password has been marked as outdated. It must be changed by the user;
- The user has changed password;
- The user has restored password;
- Administrator changed password - administrator set a new password for the user;
- Automatic temporary user lock - system restricted account access due to multiple failed login attempts;
- User has change data in the account - user edited personal information in their profile;
- Admin enabled/disabled message template;
- Administrator deleted the message template ( more details Custom notification templates);
- Administrator has blocked the user;
- Administrator has unblocked the user;
- User has activated the account - the user registered on the portal and confirmed their registration via email;
- Admin enabled/disabled resource access restrictions - administrator changed the setting that determines who has access to certain resources (more ditails Knowledge base);
- User has created passkey – user enabled biometric authentication on their device and a passkey was created;
- User has removed passkey – user removed the device or completely disabled biometric login and the corresponding passkeys were deleted;
- Administrator removed users passkeys – administrator deleted passkeys used for biometric authentication.
The security log displays:
(1) - Event date;
(2) - User details (full name, city, position, department, tags);
(3) - Level for event (Low, Normal, High);
(4) - Comment – indicates the reason (from the list above) for the log entry;
(5) - IP address from which the event originated;
(6) - Browser and OS used when the event occurred;
(7) - Details – a button displayed only for the comment "User has change data in the account"; clicking it allows you to view exactly which data the user modified;
(8) - Notify about changes by E-mail – if enabled, system administrators receive a daily notification based on the Users - Security report template, listing all changes;
(9) - Export to Excel – option to download the log in Excel format.
The table has the ability to filter and sort the list by event date, user data, event level and comment.
If the event was carried out by an administrator, his name is also displayed in the comment (4). Clicking on his name opens a modal window with information about this administrator.
When the user changes the personal information of his account, you can view what changes have been made. To do this, click on the Details (7) button, which will be near the entry in the Security log.
In this window we can see the detailed history of changes.
All security log data can be downloaded to Excel (9).
