SMS integration

The LMS Collaborator supports integration setup with the following providers for sending SMS messages:

Integration setup with TurboSMS

To set up integration with TurboSMS you need to:

  • select the appropriate provider from the list (1)
  • specify API end point (2) https://api.turbosms.ua
  • specify sender name (3) - an alphanumeric sender name that is displayed to the SMS recipient as the sender
  • specify API Token (4) for authorizing requests to the service. It should be copied from your TurboSMS account.

The option Use egress traffic proxy (5) means that requests to the TurboSMS API are only sent from allowed IP addresses added to the whitelist (see Egress proxy for more details)
The option Do not send SMS to users who have connected the mailing list via messengers bot (6) - restricts sending messages to users who have enabled notifications through messengers (Telegram, Viber, MS Teams, Slack), provided that these integrations are configured in the system (see Notifications Menu for more details).
The option Send SMS only to users with fake E-mail (7) - limits message sending to users whose profile contains an invalid email address (@test.me).

To verify the correctness of the settings, enter a phone number in international format in the field Send a test message (8) and click the Send button to receive a test SMS and check the integration functionality.

Integration setup with Kyivstar

To set up integration with Kyivstar you need to:

  • select the appropriate provider from the list (1)

  • specify sender name (3) - an alphanumeric name displayed to the SMS recipient as the sender
  • specify Client Id (4) and Client secret (5) to authorize access to the API
  • select the operating mode (6): Sandbox or Production.

The option Use egress traffic proxy (7) means that requests to the TurboSMS API are only sent from allowed IP addresses added to the whitelist (see Egress proxy for more details)
The option Do not send SMS to users who have connected the mailing list via messengers bot (8) - restricts sending messages to users who have enabled notifications through messengers (Telegram, Viber, MS Teams, Slack), provided that these integrations are configured in the system (see Notifications Menu for more details).
